Your mission
In this position you will have the unique opportunity to work on algorithms and products derived from the first commercial flight of a satellite that both observes space debris and surveys the orbital environment. As part of a world-class astrodynamics team your mission is to:
- Develop algorithms and software for, amongst others,
- Orbit and attitude determination and control
- Space-based optical measurement data association
- Satellite manoeuvre detection and estimation
- Collision-avoidance manoeuvre optimisation
- Detection, tracking, identification and characterization of resident space objects
- Take responsibility for fast and robust system and algorithm design to enable large-scale data processing.
- Maintain an up-to-date overview of latest breakthrough developments in the astrodynamics domain and assess their suitability for existing and future services.
- Participate in cutting-edge projects in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Commission.
